Triumph Youth Services testimonial

Here’s an e-mail we recently received from the mother of a boy who graduated from the program.  Our program is hard.  We expect a lot out of the boys.  And we do everything we can to put them on a road to happiness and success.

Here’s what Michelle had to say:

To whom it may concern,       9/11/16

If you are a parent that has a defiant teenager that you’re at the end of your rope with- Triumph Youth Services is a great intervention.

Every family has a different situation but somewhere it is broken. For me, after a divorce when my son was 8, he became very angry. Despite many years and types of therapy he escalated to criminal behaviors and self harm. I felt I had to do something, something big- it’s so hard to get out of the judicial system once there. Although it can be done.

Sending my son some thousand miles away was one of the hardest things I have ever done. However I couldn’t be more thankful now that I did. The environment and staff at Triumph are truly dedicated and invested in the boys success. The Sean Covey program that we did together with our son as part of the program was amazing. The family, individual and group therapy were intense at times but were really needed. I was thankful he was able to stay current in school and the community service really taught about giving back to the community. Today kids are very entitled. The Rugby program with Tom is amazing. As is the dog training program. The staff are all heart. The boys hold each other accountable with positive peer accountability. Triumph is clean, welcoming and safe, I like that they only care for a small number of boys. It keeps it personal. Parent week is also a must!

My son was there 8 months. Since being back he is working, communicating respectfully, keeping grades up, no longer doing any self harm, sneaking out, or hanging with the wrong crowd. I feel he has a bright future ahead of him and I am thankful to Sterling and Triumph for their BIG part of that.

Grateful,
Michelle
