Here at Triumph Youth Services we are deliberate and intentional about the help and guidance we give teenage boys and their families or caregivers.  Our mission, philosophy, and motto help us and the boys remember what we’re working toward and what the rewards are of the hard work we all put in.

The Mission of Triumph Youth Services:

Building individuals of truth, integrity and accountability who inspire faith in a Higher Power and are leaders in a quest for excellence.

Through the specialty treatment programs and services provided, Triumph Youth Services strives to fulfill this mission each and every day. We believe that the way to help our youth and families become healthier, stronger and more unified is by building men and women of integrity and character. We define character as: Individuals, who take responsibility for their own lives, make the right choices regardless of the circumstances and care about helping others in need. Integrity is one of the most important parts of building character. Integrity is strict personal honesty and independence. With integrity one may take responsibility for one’s life, do the right thing even when no one is looking and help change the world by changing oneself. Here at Triumph Youth Services we are dedicated to our mission.

The Philosophy of Triumph Youth Services:

“All feeling, all character, all thought, all life, exist for us only in so far as it can be reflected upon, viewed from without, seen at a distance, acknowledged by another than itself, and reworded in terms of fresh experience. Stand still where you are, stand alone, isolate your life, and forthwith you are nothing. Enter into relationships, exist for the reflective thought of yourself, or of other people, criticize yourself and be criticized, observe yourself and be observed, exist, and at the same time look upon yourself and be looked upon from without, and then indeed you are somebody, –a self with a consistency and a vitality, a being with a genuine life.” G.W.F. Hegel

Understanding the vitality and survivability of any community is contingent upon the ability of its youth (our youth) to enter into meaningful societal relationships by observing and looking upon themselves. It is essential that they be taught the skills and values necessary to function in society in a healthy and lawful manner and to reach their full potential, in order to lead a genuine life.

It is essential that our youth have a continuum of care in order to be fully prepared to enter the world. They must gain the courage, skills, and experience necessary to be an integral part of the family unit, and be able to function as positive contributing members of society. Thus, making a greater chance for them to choose a positive path in life, and have the motivation to work for ultimate success.

We at Triumph Youth Services believe that all of the youth need plenty of praise for their accomplishments, but they must also take accountability for their actions and assume responsibility for their own role in society. Without taking this action they will continue to digress and shift the blame for their actions on to others. We believe that without taking personal accountability they will not internalize the need to commit to real and long lasting change or recovery. Along with taking accountability the youth need to build strong and appropriate relationships to assist in the positive development of change.

We believe that a principle based program is vital for building a foundation for successful living. It can foster positive growth and development in the lives of youth and their families as they participate in our program.

The Motto of Triumph Youth Services:

“Work Hard, Play Hard”

Triumph believes it is vitally important for our students to learn, understand and appreciate the importance of work ethic and be able to apply it to their lives.  Our “Work Hard Play Hard” motto helps us to achieve this goal.

This is implemented through charity, meaningful community service, school work, therapy/program assignments, chores and apprenticeships/employment. After working hard it is equally important to Play Hard. In order to achieve long term success and recovery it is imperative for these young men to learn how to have healthy positive fun while remaining sober, and maintaining personal integrity at the same time. At Triumph Youth Services, we teach our students how to have realistic fun at appropriate times on a consistent basis.

Personal and group improvement in multiple recreational activities enhances proficiency and increases self worth. Choosing realistic and positive recreational activities also helps put our students in situations where they will have better opportunities to meet and associate with successful and positive peers in safe settings. Being around positive influences and enjoying positive activities will further increase self esteem, involvement and the overall opportunity for success. While at Triumph Youth Services, each student will participate in daily recreational activities.
