Summit – “Love Real”
This step-through phase of treatment has been designed to help students begin to “love real.” Students learning to “love real” begin to understand that love is work, love takes looking outside of oneself and noticing others’ needs, love takes humility and forgiveness. This phase is the leadership phase and a student that enters the Summit phase of treatment is given more privileges, because he is almost ready, and is preparing, to move to the next stage of his life. Along with more privileges come more responsibilities and opportunities to prove change and commitment to change.
Students also begin to learn the nature of true leadership. The greatest of leaders are those dedicated to serving and lifting others up; they are true to their paths, and they walk their talk. A student that has entered the Summit phase of treatment runs the PPC program, with the help of other “Summits,” “Peaks,” and “Graduates,” by planning events, schedules, groups, etc.
