Why does it seem that a number of children develop behavior issues when they enter the adolescent years? As parents we tend to blame ourselves and the way we have raised our child or even their peer group for this negative change. While those things can be part of the reason for new behavior issues, it is only a part of the reason. There is a biological explanation for this. In an article titled: The Teen Brain “Problem solving, and Decision making” it says, “Studies have shown that brains continue to develop throughout childhood and adolescence and well into early adulthood.” During this time your Son is more likely to participate in risky behavior that can lead to addiction, and he may form bonds with peers who are not a positive influence in his life. Here at Triumph Youth Services we understand that our students are NOT bad young men, they are GOOD young men who have made some bad choices. We have the education, skills and ability to help your Son overcome these behavior and or addiction issues while helping him learn how to live a full and happy life.
