Alaska Adventures

Each summer, Triumph Youth Services and Triumph Academy offer an unforgettable Alaska adventure—one of the most anticipated highlights of the program. Centered around the breathtaking Kenai Peninsula, this experience is open to current students, alumni, and their families, combining personal growth with outdoor learning. Through Triumph Academy, students can even earn school credit by participating in structured educational workshops during the trip (credit availability may vary).

Trip highlights include:

• Fishing in the Kenai River and the Pacific Ocean
• Hiking with glacier views and wildlife observation, including bear viewing
• Cultural exploration, including dog sled activities and traditional Alaskan cuisine
• Sightseeing tours and hands-on learning in natural science and geography
• Leadership and sportsmanship development through outdoor challenges

The Alaska trip is designed to reinforce Triumph Academy’s educational mission while offering a transformative, real-world learning opportunity. It fosters independence, resilience, and connection with nature—all essential life skills. An additional fee covers travel, food, therapy, programming, gear, and other essentials. Students are also encouraged to bring some spending money to enjoy local favorites along the way.
