All employees are trained in CPR/First Aid behavioral Management. Youth are supervised 24/7 with our 4 to 1 ratio during daytime hours and 1 to 8 ratio on nighttime sleeping hours doing 15-minute check while they sleep. They will always have access to an Administrator and Therapist.

What role do parents and families play in treatment?

Their most important role is to let their kiddo know they are here until they graduate from the program. Also, they will be given assignments from their therapist to do along with their son. We encourage family therapy and provide Parent Conferences 3 to 4 times a year to help them better prepare for when their son comes home. Be present when it is family therapy with no distractions it allows parents to show their son they are invested and working on their end also.

What kind of aftercare or transition support do you provide once a teen leaves?

Triumph requires each youth and their family to work together and create a After care plan. This is set up to keep the students busy, anything from school to work plans or continued therapy services at home. In this after-care plan is a relapse prevention plan and a family contract all with consequences that could be imposed if not following their plan and/or contract. We have kids do home visits at the end of their program to help set up services this includes but not limited to Education, Therapy, work etc..

What happens if my teen refuses to participate or wants to leave?

We as Treatment Team pull together and find different ways to help a youth engaged into their program. We meet weekly and discuss this very issue. Most of the time it is just a process of Parents and Triumph staying on the same page and letting the youth know they are here until they graduate and the longer they stay disengaged the longer they will be in Triumph. They do not have ability in Utah to check themselves out of Treatment only their Guardians can.
