Types or Forms of Cyberbullying
Catfishing – setting up a fictitious online profile, most often for the purpose of luring another into a fraudulent romantic relationship
Cyberostracism or Exclusion– blocking someone from sending e-mail or instant messages to one or more other people or denied being added as a friend on a social-networking site
Cyber-Stalking – repeatedly sending messages to intimidate or threaten resulting in a person to have concerns about their personal safety
Degradation or Denigration or Exposure – using rumors and untrue information with the intention of damaging the victim’s character and reputation or destroying friendships through posting it on a Web page, sending it to others through email or instant messaging, or posting or sending digitally altered photos of someone

Exposure or Denigration or Degradation- posting inappropriate photos or videos online with the intent to embarrass or humiliatethat photo can be posted online for millions to see, and it can hang around in cyberspace forever and come back to haunt the victim even in adulthood.
Flaming – This a very aggressive and abrasive form of intimidation; online “fighting” using electronic messages with angry, vulgar language
Harassment – repeatedly sending offensive, insulting, rude and harassing messages over the internet or cell phone
Impersonation – Using a person’s online identity (pretending to be the victim) to sendor post hurtful, harmful, or embarrassing information to others
Outing – sharing personal information about someone with others with intent to cause harm, humiliation or embarrassment
Password Theft – Gaining access to the child’s passwords used on the internet and uses it to log into the sites the child has and locks them out, also allowing other to hack the account.
PC Attack – sending computer viruses, a Trojan and/or spyware to infect the victim’s computer.
Proxy Attack – enlisting friends to assist in further humiliation and emotional damage the victim.
Shaming – a term used for online teasing with intent to embarrass, humiliate or disgrace another person
Text Messaging Proxy Attack – enlisting friends to help send thousands of messages to the victim’s cell phone running up their phone bill and getting them into trouble with his/her parents.
Trickery – the victim is encouraged to say bad things about friends or reveal embarrassing information through email, or social networks and then it is forwarded to others
