Many residential treatment programs insist on every student fitting their program and adjusting themselves to fit the program.
Triumph is different and more unique than other programs. At Triumph, we believe that our program is fitting to most students, but oftentimes parts of the program and/or system must be customized to adequately fit each student on a case-by-case basis.
Basketball coaching legend Rick Pinto said, “When it comes to discipline and work ethic, I treat all my players the same; when it comes to their own individual goals, I handle them individually.” This quote was given to the Triumph founder, Sterling Lyman, from a Triumph graduate who said, “this quote reminds me of Triumph 100%.”
Triumph IS DIFFERENT! At Triumph we:
- View the student as part of the group as a whole and as an individual as well as a resource–not as a victim or villain
- Identify and build on each student’s strengths
- Work in partnership with the student, families and the community to promote success
- Assist and guide the student’s cognitive, moral and identity development
- Set limits and norms within a positive and normalized culture
- Develop each student’s competencies and provide each student with the tools to succeed
- Expect and create opportunities for SUCCESS
