We received an e-mail from a parent of one of the boys who was in the Triumph program. She attached a photo of him while on the Alaska trip.
She said (we’re sharing this with her permission):
“He is alone, yet the shadows of those who supported him on his journey are present. His face is optimistic, confident, peaceful, and looking towards what I like to think is his higher power. He continues to uphold the values you instilled in him. Our largest dog was sick 2 nights ago. Shane stayed up with me until 3am to help, and would not rest until he knew that the Hooch was going to be okay. I couldn’t have done it without him. That would not have happened a year ago. Keep up the great work, we are forever grateful. You are making the world a better place, one soul at a time.”
