Sports, a Positive Reinforcement

Some of the other continuous activities include many different sporting activities and events including high school team sports, competitive sports, club sports and general recreation, consistently scheduled field trips, camping, nature hikes and observation, fishing, vocational training, educational services through the Triumph Academy and the Bridgerland Applied Technology College.

Many of our Students enjoy participating in sports. Some of our young men have never had the opportunity to participate in a team sport and many of them thrive while playing. In order for one of our students to be able to participate in sports they must be successfully working their individual program, getting good grades, and treating their peers and Teachers with respect.

The innermost purpose and aim of Triumph Youth Services Positive Peer Culture program (sports are a part of this) is to develop self-worth, significance, dignity and responsibility in each of our students as they become committed to the positive values of helping and caring for others. Our goal is always to direct teens away from selfishness and conflict and direct them towards developing a character of concern for, and service to, others.

Our students want to be successful in life after Triumph, and sports can be a positive reinforcement on their journey…
