Sterling, one of the owners and founders of Triumph, had a teacher named Dallas A. Jackman who strongly believed in the importance of teaching youth about nature and the outdoors.
His philosophy:
At Triumph, we believe in this form of teaching and do our best to spend a lot of time in nature, giving the youth outdoor experiences, and teaching them to enjoy and appreciate the outdoors. Being located in Utah gives us a huge advantage to allow the boys to participate in a wide-range of outdoor activities.
Some of the recent activities we have done include hiking, fishing, sledding, snowboarding, and ice-fishing.
Along with the day-to-day outdoor activities we expose the youth at Triumph to, we also take an annual trip to Alaska that is always a highlight of the year and an incredible experience for the youth and staff. The Alaska program is open to current AND past boys in the program as well as their family members.
